(Happens daily, but never fails to amaze me each and every single time)
—
I commute with my bicycle.
And on my way back from work to home I make a left from a rather main road to my peripheral street.
It’s a drastic yet subtle change.
Only 50 meters long, that small road taken, but so meaningful.
The wind always hits my face there, just as I turn. Even on hot summer days, it streams through the high tree top that I later see through my balcony.
I have a “no paddle, no brakes” policy for that section of road - it’s just not necessary. It has just the perfect balance of incline to allow gliding through the asphalt.
The combination of arriving home and being on the way.
